Investigation of vitamin D deficiency/toxicity
Please refer to the local Pathway for Testing and Treatment of Adult Vitamin D deficiency for full guidelines on requesting vitamin D analysis.
In most cases, re-testing after treatment of vitamin D deficiency is not required.
Samples will not be analysed if previous analysis performed within 3 months. If there is a specific clinical reason for analysis within this timeframe, please state this on the request card
