Change in Troponin I assay method

The new High-sensitivity Troponin I assay (TNIH) will begin use on Wednesday 1st May 2019.

Cervical Cytology requesting on ICE

UHNM Cytology Laboratory are moving to electronic requesting using the ICE GP Order Comms System from Monday 25th February 2019.

Changes to BNP testing service for heart failure

The UHNM Biochemistry Laboratory will be switching from measurement of B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP) to N-terminal proBNP (NT-proBNP) from October 1st 2018.

Change to ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate) method

The Haematology laboratory will be changing the method used for ESR testing from Tuesday 26th September 2018.
